Welcome to Birding Myanmar Site (hereinafter called "Site"). Please review the following basic terms that govern your use of and purchase of products and services from our Site. Please note that your use of our Site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by those terms of use (hereinafter called the "Agreement").

Under this agreement goods and/or services will be delivered by River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd depending on the type of payment method used for the purchase of the goods and/or services. If you reside in any other country, then these terms are an agreement between you and River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd and goods and/or services will be delivered by River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd.

Terms of Use

Reservation & Confirmation

All bookings should be made directly with River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd. (Myanmar).

Tour Price

All tour prices are quoted as net price in US$ .

Booking & Reservations

A non refundable deposit of 50% payment is required to make your booking and your booking request will be subject to the availability at time of payment. No booking confirmation will be given until the deposit has been received by River Mekong Travels & Tours Co., Ltd.

Then at 1 month before arrival, again 25% payment would be collected via online payment.

The remaining 25% will be collected at your arrival to Yangon when our representative will come and welcome you at your arrival.

Package Price / Surcharges

All prices published at www.travelmyanmarasia.com are quoted based on the land rates of local suppliers and are valid as stated at the website. If surcharges become necessary by any of the local suppliers in accordance with the local situation such as increased in hotel rates, fuel and government tax, River Mekong Travel & Tours reserves the right to do so with a given notice. If the surcharge is not paid, the company considers that as cancellation and cancellation policy will be applied.

However, River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd. (Myanmar) will always make full endeavors to adhere to the original tour program and price.

Hotels

If your requested hotel is not available at the time of booking, River Mekong Travel & Tours will try to confirm an alternate hotel at a similar category and package rate may be adjusted only if necessary.

However, River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd. (Myanmar) will always make full endeavors to adhere to the original reservation you wanted as much as possible.

Payments

A local payment can be made as a mode of direct cash flow to the local. However, a non refundable 50% deposit of total package price is required at the time of booking (either Bank Transfer to our Singapore UOB account or Credit card payment. We will send the confirmation of the booking via email for you after we had received the 505 confirmation advanced payment.

Second and final payments have to be paid online and in USD cash upon your arrival in Myanmar. Our representative will present you with our sealed invoice and a receipt will be given as a proof to your payment for cash on arrival.

Cancellations and Refunds

If the cancellation of written notice is given and in the case of a deposit has been made, no refund will be provided. Cancellation charges apply as follow:

Services not utilized after the commencement of the tour, no refund will be given.

Cancellation takes effect the day on which the written notice is received.

Travel Documents and Visa

It is your responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, travel permits, health certificates, inoculations, international driving license, or other documentation required for the trip are obtained and are in order. It is your responsibility to meet any additional costs incurred either by yourself (or by the Company on your behalf) as a result of any failure by you to comply with such requirements.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all customers. At the start of the trip you must provide us with: the name of your insurance company, your policy number, a 24 hour medical emergency contact number, and the expiry date of the policy. You should ensure that your policy covers you for medical expenses and repatriation.

Responsibility and liability

River Mekong Travels & Tours Co., Ltd(RMT) act as an intermediary between transportation and airline companies, hotels, tourist offices and all other contractors providing the services and as such is not liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained. Additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disaster, political action and unrest must be borne by passengers. However, River Mekong Travel & Tours Co., Ltd. (Myanmar) will always make full endeavors to adhere to the original tour program and arrangements.

Participation in our trips implies the tourist’s agreement to the above. River Mekong Travel & Tours also is not liable for any injury, loss or damage the traveler suffers during or in connection with the journey, nor for itinerary modifications due to circumstances beyond our control. Neither the compensation nor refund will be given for non-attendance or cancelled activities. Meals not taken are not refundable.

Gratuities and Tipping

Myanmar people are genuinely happy to help foreign visitors and don't expect anything in return. But if your guide or any other person during your trip was especially kind or helpful, a gratuity would be a generous gesture and greatly appreciated.

Travelling with children

Children who are under 12 year of age up to above 2 year old is entitled to get 50% of adult price in sharing the same room of parents and under 2 year old is free of charge subject to existing bedding arrangement of one adult for one child and children above 12 year of age will be charged same price of a parent.

Unused Services

No refunds can be given for unused or partially used services during the tour program.
